Halal is an Arabic word meaning "allowed" or" lawful". The Qur'anic term Halal
is that which is permitted and allowed by Allah. Zabiha
ذبيحة is an Arabic word, which
means the animal is slaughtered according to the teachings of Islam. According
to the Zabiha ذبيحة principles, animals are not captive bold stunned but instead are
hand slaughtered by slitting the throat while blessing the animal with Allah’s
name by saying the “Takbeer” Bismilah-e-Allah-o-Akbar. The blood of the animals
is thoroughly removed from the bodies. This assures the consumer of getting
completely healthy meat processed in accordance with highest standers of
cleanliness, purity, and healthiness. In addition to those of the Muslim faith,
people from all ethnic and religious backgrounds look for the Zabiha
ذبيحة Halal
label on food to be assured of healthy, high quality foods.
Allah swt says in Quran:
"Eat not (O
believers) of that (meat) on which Allâh's Name has not been pronounced (at the
time of the slaughtering of the animal), for sure it is Fisq (a sin and
disobedience of Allâh). And certainly, the Shayâtin (devils) do inspire their
friends (from mankind) to dispute with you, and if you obey them[by making
Al¬Maitah (a dead animal) legal by eating it], then you would indeed be
Mushrikûn (polytheists) [because they (devils and their friends) made lawful to
you to eat that which Allâh has made unlawful to eat and you obeyed them by
considering it lawful to eat, and by doing so you worshipped them, and to
worship others besides Allâh is polytheism]":
